Tyler, 2 of his cousins, and I set out for Bomber Mountain. We did not make our original destination but rather stopped in the Mistymoon area. Scroll through the many pics below to see some of the views we saw. Also here are a couple of links you can look at to learn more about the B-17 that crashed.

4 of us set out for Bomber Mountain
Our fearless leader
On the trail from North High Park
Lake Solitude about 7:30 PM
The trail around Lake Solitude...notice how the rocks are stacked!
Notice the waterfalls in the background.
Sunset over Solitude
On our way to Mistymoon Lake the next morning
The never-ending beauty
"Now where are we?"
Still smiling...James (left), Johnathon (middle), Tyler (right)
Our point of resignation...realizing we are not going to make it to Bomber (right)...where we turned around.
Heading back from Mistymoon area
View of Lake Solitude from above
Waterfalls between Mistymoon and Solitude
The crew
I love this trail!
Leaving Lake Solitude
Our ride out...a different trail than the one in.
Cloud Peak & Bomber...from a different view.
Home again, home again for 2 of us...James & Jon still had to drive to Idaho!
And of course...a pic of the girls.
They stayed with Grandma & Papa while we were gone.
